| As a result of some of the discussion in this thread: http://intp.1.forumer.com/index.php?showtopic=204 I am proposing several of the following things: 1. A new INTP site. We can code name it "INTP District" for the time being. 2. A community wiki dedicated to cited INTP information. (definition: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wiki) 3. A new forum which is not under the contraints of the host Forumer. Probably using Invision Power Board. 4. All threads that were posted on this forum will be archived in a format similar to http://intp.1.forumer.com/index.php?act=Print&client=printer&f=9&t=114. I might be able to make it pseudo-threaded. utopmk19 suggests It would be fun if we could all contribute to the styling, functions, and general appearence of the new forum somehow, perhaps by voting? with a wiki and additional forum skins/themes this could be possible. What are you thoughts? If there is significant interest, I will register a domain and contact a webhost I've used in the past. |

| I'm in favor, as long as Ngene remains administrator, and has full jurisdiction. Sounds excellent to me. Maybe we could atleast give it a test run. |

yep, I know I don't want to administrate it. I'm currenly a web developer and it's what I do best so I can do the initial setup and customizing. |

| Having been the one to first bring this up, I agree completely. Which hosting were you thinking about? I would like to ask NGene what she thinks about this, I have brought up my ideas tentatively as I do not want to step on any toes. |

| Well all that would make me extremelly happy would be a chat room |

Me too, there are so many mods that we can put on this forum .. but not on this server. |

| I'm in favor. If it's a serious forum I think it would be good to have the administrators have complete control over it rather than be at the mercy of forumer. Probably a good idea to move it to its own server while it's still small. |

| -For it. But could someone let me know that if this happens, when it happens. I can just see myself wanderin' around wondering where everyone went. |

| Great idea, I'll give it a thumbs-up. Actually the only reason this place is hosted at forumer is because I can't afford my own domain and webhost. Let's create the biggest and best INTP resource known to the internet. |

excellent. I am going to get the hosting setup. what should the domain name be? then we can vote on one in the local pub. my domain suggestions are: intpdistrict.com intpforum.com |

| intpcentral.com |

| intpforum.com |

| My first thought was intpforum.com. But then I thought if we used a broader domain, it would be more natural to add other pages and features if we later decided to do so. Is anyone interested in anything more than a forum at this point? |

| I think it will need real intp explanation pages. It needs to fill intp.org's gap. That site is just terrible. All the links are dead. Looks like shit. |
| Posted by: NGene Jul 7 2004, 08:29 PM |
| Hmm... intp.com would be great, but according to whois, it's already taken. Meh. |

BTW, thread in the pub is here: http://intp.1.forumer.com/index.php?showtopic=416 I am going to email the domain owner of intp.org and see if he/she will give it up. |

| Whatever happens, we need to do it in the next few weeks. We're intps after all, this won't hold our interest for more than a few months. |

Um, yeah. As a fairly new member I can't really comment, but: a/ I hope you'll keep this place running with a redirection sign out front for a while, for anyone stumbling across it, recalling it after some while, or following old links. b/ Equally I trust the new place will look as neat as this with the blue-grey wallpaper & the Banner of NGene on top. c/ Will we have to all re-sign on, and place our avatars in again, or is that automated ? I'm not petty enough ( Claverhouse |

a- ngene will probably lock the board and then explain the forum has a new home b- the forum software may be different. logo is subject to change. possibly by voting? or based on which forum skin/theme you have applied c- you will need to re-register and re-assign your avatar. postcounts can probably be set but probably won't be necessary. |

| ( Obligingly ) I vote to keep NGene's Banner. Claverhouse |

I'll second that motion. Doesn't it call out to you like a neon Budweiser sign? The first time I saw it I felt so welcomed and put at ease like I had just walked into sports book at Caesar's Palace. |
