How fast is your internet and how much do you pay for it? I hear it's much cheaper in Europe and modern sections of Asia.

I pay

55.00 USD a month
46.00 Euros
for 3Mbps Digital Cable
In Pennsylvania, USA

I have a 100MBit connection (shared I persume, but I never really had any problems with speed so I really don't know)

I pay 150DKK (~24USD or 20Euro), that includes phone and unlimited use - sadly the close all the interesting ports so I can't really do anything fun.

Uggghhhh.... still using a dial up service at home $16.00 USD. However, at work, I use DSL. I will eventually get DSL, but everyone I speak to are unhappy with their service. What about highspeed? Cox Cable offers it, but I am about to send their cable service to the wind.

I have a 100 MB connection, like Lovechild does. I pay nothing for it because it's included in the rent. I had to pay a 60 EUR setup fee, but after that, nothing. biggrin.gif

Well ok, the connection is shared, so I can't keep the whole 100 MB to myself.

Dial-Up (Because I get a free proxy & outdial), and I connect to a wireless network with two T1s. Both are free biggrin.gif

Lovechild/NGene, is that just what it says you are connected at? The reason I'm asking, is because wireless 802.11g only goes up to 54 Mbps, so to have a 100 Mb connection to your network, there would have to be a direct connection to/with the ISP with 100BaseT or FDDI/CDDI, right? Maybe I'm just too tired and I'm missing something. unsure.gif I'm guessing the connection from the node to the router is 100Mbps, and that's what you're seeing.

Anyone using Comacst?

Posted by: int May 17 2004, 09:23 PM
Yip. In CO it's either Qwest or Comcast. Since we don't have a home phone line we went with Comcast.
