| http://www.4degreez.com/misc/personality_disorder_test.mv one was pretty good... check yourselves out Paranoid: High Schizoid: Very High Schizotypal: Very High Antisocial: Low Borderline: Low Histrionic: Low Narcissistic: Moderate Avoidant: Moderate Dependent: Low Obsessive-Compulsive: High Schizoid People with schizoid personality disorder avoid relationships and do not show much emotion. They genuinely prefer to be alone and do not secretly wish for popularity. They tend to seek jobs that require little social contact. Their social skills are often weak and they do not show a need for attention or acceptance. They are perceived as humorless and distant and often are termed "loners." Schizotypal Many believe that schizotypal personality disorder represents mild schizophrenia. The disorder is characterized by odd forms of thinking and perceiving, and individuals with this disorder often seek isolation from others. They sometimes believe to have extra sensory ability or that unrelated events relate to them in some important way. They generally engage in eccentric behavior and have difficulty concentrating for long periods of time. Their speech is often over elaborate and difficult to follow. So. According to http://www.geocities.com/ptypes/correspondence.html site, schizotypal is an INTJ thing, while schizoid an INTP thing. (Call me obsessive, but hell, I can't be both |

| Paranoid: Very High Schizoid: Very High Schizotypal: High Antisocial: Moderate Borderline: Moderate Histrionic: Low Narcissistic: High Avoidant: High Dependent: Low Obsessive-Compulsive: Low Interesting results for me. I definitely can be schizotypal. I am not sure that the web page still exist, but Dave Kelly had correlated these disorders with MBTI, enneagram and John Oldham's personalities at www.geocties.com/ptypes Jack |

Sorry about referring to that site in my test results. One thing that you should know about Dave Kelly is that he buys into the Socionics theory. Thus, what he refers to as INTJ is more than likely INTP and vice-versa for all of the introverted types. I must have taken the test wrong, or did not read the instructions (typical still trying to wake up). I responded how I can be in an unhealthy state, not how I was seeing myself at the moment. Jack |

| Disorder | Rating Paranoid: High Schizoid: High Schizotypal: High Antisocial: Moderate Borderline: Low Histrionic: Low Narcissistic: Moderate Avoidant: Low Dependent: Low Obsessive-Compulsive: Moderate Hmm. That's considerably more normal than I was last time I took the test. Jack, I've taken that test a few times, and the same thing happens to me: I describe myself at my worst. The problem is, the test asks "Are you sometimes..." and so if I have ever done what they describe, I say yes to the question. That didn't happen this time, though - mostly because I read your post before taking the test, so I knew to be careful of describing my unhealthy state. I'm pretty surprised I didn't get very high for schizoid, though. I do think I have a slight schizoid personality. On Socionics: are you guys all INTJs according to them? I was, but only by a tiny bit. They asked me a question after I had completed the profilers - it was something like, "Do you feel conflict between your S and your N sides, or your T and your F sides?" (Except it didn't use the letters T, S, N and F; it described them somehow... anyway...) I said I had more conflict between S and N, and it told me I was probably a Socionics INTJ, but I might be an INTP. |

I normally show slight INTJ, or INTX. I have read the description posted for both INTP and INTJ. I think that the INTJ fits me better. However, under any other circumstances, maybe with the exception of Kiersey, I could never be INTJ. Jack |

| Paranoid: Moderate Schizoid: High Schizotypal: Moderate Antisocial: Low Borderline: Low Histrionic: Low Narcissistic: Moderate Avoidant: High Dependent: Low Obsessive-Compulsive: Low I don't think that I'm very much avoidant... I know I use to be... But I agree with the high schizoid. |

It said very high on schizotypal and avoidant. I'm not schizotypal, but I am avoidant (though not necesserily to the degree of a disorder.)
Depressions like that can affect a person for years and years. Not fun. INFP? |
| Posted by: Lovechild May 13 2004, 02:33 PM | ||||
yeah... INFP - not that I believe those personality tests to be 100% accurate, infact a lot of them are constructed kinda like astrology - each catagory is so vage that it fits everyone. |
| Posted by: Hush May 14 2004, 07:03 AM | ||
Maybe, but type isn't nearly as explicit on paper as it is in character. |
| Posted by: NGene May 14 2004, 09:37 AM | ||
That's true to a certain degree, but there's a major exception - the personality tests measure your traits based on what you actually are (or think you are), not when you're born or what your name is. That's a big difference. |
| Posted by: Lovechild May 14 2004, 12:16 PM | ||||
I know that, but the point was the test is only as accurate as the person who puts it together wants it to be and there are a LOT of bad personality tests out there. |

The voices in my head are sane as well. But sometimes they talk about me behind my back too. They say how perfect I am. |

| I don't know how any one can seriously ask - 'Do you tend to lie a lot?' It just does't make sence.... Disorder Rating Paranoid: Moderate Schizoid: Moderate Schizotypal: High Antisocial: Moderate Borderline: Low Histrionic: Low Narcissistic: Moderate Avoidant: High Dependent: Moderate Obsessive-Compulsive: Low Avoidant Avoidant personality disorder is characterized by extreme social anxiety. People with this disorder often feel inadequate, avoid social situations, and seek out jobs with little contact with others. They are fearful of being rejected and worry about embarassing themselves in front of others. They exaggerate the potential difficulties of new situations to rationalize avoiding them. Often, they will create fantasy worlds to substitute for the real one. Unlike schizoid personality disorder, avoidant people yearn for social relations yet feel they are unable to obtain them. They are frequently depressed and have low self-confidence. Schizotypal Many believe that schizotypal personality disorder represents mild schizophrenia. |
