I'm very skeptical, but this is interesting to read anyway.

HA! But I've got the Excalibur! It's mine! I wouldn't have wanted to own any rotting old ark anyway.

"We're telling people we're 98 percent sure," said McGivern, a member of the Hawaii Christian Coalition. "In one image we saw the beams, saw the wood. I'm convinced that the excavation of the object and the results of tests run on any collected samples will prove that it is Noah's ark. "

It's a rock, you fucking idiot. A rock. A fucking wood-colored rock.

I agree, it's nothing but a PR stunt - it happens every few years or so, and each time it turns out to be nothing.

So if the religious nutters want to waste their time, fine, as long as they don't harm anyone doing so, or annoys me with speculations of their fantastic claims.

Ha! Don't we all know so well? I read the article and everyone's reaction and couldn't stop laughing! laugh.gif

It may be complete nonsense, but that doesn't mean it is merely a PR stunt. There are big-time creationists who take this stuff seriously. They really believe that Noah's Ark is hiding on Mt. Ararat somewhere waiting to be found.
