I have a SJ mother, ISFJ to be exact; my almost polar opposite. The thing I wanted to ask about; do you're SJ parents save all your childrens toys like they're priceless? She has a garage full of rubbermaid boxes, filled to the brim with childrens toys. All of them are mine as I'm an only child. What am I going to do with stuff when she dies? Opinions please.

You are going to through them away yourself rolleyes.gif

My mother can't through anything away either (ESFJ), so I know what you mean...

Oh, tell me about it.

Let's see: I've got an ISFJ dad and ISTJ mom, and I'm the only child.

You can sum up the parts yourselves. intp/ninja.gif

There are two ways to get rid of the things: either throw them away yourself or insist on decorating your mom's house with the old kids' toys. Plant them around the house and if she complains, tell her "But mom, these are my memories, and this is how things used to be when I was a kid!"

I don't actually recommend the latter suggestion, though...

Throw an opened can of tuna in each box and wait a few weeks...
